A seasoned energy entrepreneur, Deepak says “I knew exactly what I wanted to do from the age of 9.” Having started his first venture in the manufacturing and assembly of generators in 1980, Deepak, along with his wife Asha, founded Gentec Energy in 1996, a leading energy solutions firm with projects in Africa, South Asia and Middle East.
He currently serves as the CEO of Powergas Africa (Africa’s largest CNG producer & distributor) and Chairman of Cummins Power Generation Nigeria.With over 30 years experience in energy and industrial distribution, Deepak is highly committed to driving the organisation’slong term vision of delivering clean, cost effective and reliable power. Deepak is a Chartered Accountant (UK – ICAEW) by qualification and has held many senior positions in Finance& General Management.
He is a member of the Oil and Gas Advisory Board of UKTI (UK Government-Industry Consultancy Body) and a Pratham Board member, one of India’s education largest charities.
Rishi Chandra | CEO
Rishi joined Cummins Power Generation Nigeria since inception in 2009 and was instrumental in forming the JV with Cummins. As Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and CEO of Cummins Power Generation Nigeria, Rishi has successfully steered the organisation towards a healthy financial position with an ability to continue to invest in the Nigerian power sector.
Prior to joining Cummins, Rishi worked as a Management Consultant with Booz & Co, advising Fortune 500 companies on strategic direction. Following which, he pursued his entrepreneurial interests by acquiring two American engineering companies – he continues to serve on the board of these companies.
Rishi holds a BSc in mechanical engineering from John Hopkins University and an MBA from the renowned Carnegie Mellon University & Booth School of Business in Chicago, USA.
Daniele Sechi | General Manager
Daniele has over 15 years experiencein senior management roles, including Managing Director of a leading European engineering company.
Daniele is a key team member managing the overall operations in Nigeria and steering the company towards a solid growth platform.
Alex Savelli | Director
Alex holds over 20 years experience with Cummins Inc and has held various leadership positions across different departments in North America, South America and Europe.
Alex has vast experience in General Management, Partnerships, Joint Ventures and Growth Strategy. He currently serves as the Executive Director of Cummins Power Generation from Minneapolis, USA.
Alex holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering & Operations Management from The Universidade de Sao Paulo and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Andrew Stone | Director
Andrew has over 20 years experience with Cummins Inc – having started his career as a mechanical engineer, Andrew progressed to various leadership roles.
Today he is the global head of the Energy Solutions Business (ESB) at Cummins Power Generation, UK. Andrew has been a Director and Board member of Cummins Cogeneration Ltd (parent company of CPGNL) since founded in 2009, providing strong technical insight and strategic vision.
Steve Hopkins | Director
Steve has over 35years experience with Cummins Inc across both the engine and power generation businesses and has played an instrumental role in various leadership positions. Steve was the former Financial Director of the global Cummins Power Generation business,based in Indiana, Columbus.
Steve was then promoted to General Manager of Cummins Generator Technologies, with the aim of becoming the world’s leading supplier of 2-11,000kVA alternators.
He has been a Director and Board member of Cummins Cogeneration Ltd (parent company of CPGNL) since founded, overseeing key financial decisions and strategic planning.
Victor Eburajolo | Director
Victor has chaired and held senior management roles in numerous Nigerian organizations such as The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Governing Council of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), National Labour Advisory Council, the Committee of Industrial Relations Experts of the Nigerian Employers Consultative Association, the Council of the National Institute for Labour Studies, the Board of Trust fund pensions Plc.
Victor served as CEO & President of the Textile Employers/Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and Managing Director of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund.
Victor is an alumni of the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) and the Lagos Business School, graduating with LLB (Hons) and B.L, respectively.
He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of over 20 Nigerian companies in Manufacturing, Commerce and Power.
